Cashier

As a Cashier at Wingstop, you are responsible for delivering fast, friendly, and excellent customer service during the order‑taking process, whether by phone or in person. He/she/they will need to communicate quickly and efficiently with team members in both the front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house to ensure guests are satisfied and receive their orders on time.

• Experience using a computer and register (POS) system preferred.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights and/or holidays.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Wingstop.
• Greet all guests in a friendly and welcoming manner whether by phone or in person.
• Place orders for guests in‑person and over the phone; upsell and maintain knowledge of menu and sauce descriptions, along with new items and promotions.
• Be knowledgeable on menu offerings, sauce descriptions and promotions to better assist guests in making order recommendations and answering questions.
• Monitor that all orders are ready within quoted guest order readiness times.
• Verify the accuracy and presentation of all guest orders before delivery to guests to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.
• Strong cash handling skills to accurately process cash, credit card and gift card transactions and balance of register at end of shift.
• Assist in maintaining a clean workplace; keep Front of House (FOH) clean and stocked, including restrooms. Restock products during periods of downtime or as directed.
• Practice safe food handling procedures by following all safety and sanitation guidelines; promote safety in the workplace.
• Maintain a professional and presentable appearance according to the company's Uniform Standards.
• Receive and handle complaints from guests and guide the manager on duty if a problem requires escalation.
• Leave guests with a long‑lasting and positive impression of their WINGSTOP experience.

• Ability to learn quickly.

• Cashier and restaurant experience a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast‑paced environment.
