Cashier
As a Cashier at Wingstop, you are responsible for delivering fast, friendly, and excellent customer service during the order‑taking process, whether by phone or in person. He/she/they will need to communicate quickly and efficiently with team members in both the front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house to ensure guests are satisfied and receive their orders on time.
Qualifications / Education / Experience- Experience using a computer and register (POS) system preferred.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights and/or holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Wingstop.
- Greet all guests in a friendly and welcoming manner whether by phone or in person.
- Place orders for guests in‑person and over the phone; upsell and maintain knowledge of menu and sauce descriptions, along with new items and promotions.
- Be knowledgeable on menu offerings, sauce descriptions and promotions to better assist guests in making order recommendations and answering questions.
- Monitor that all orders are ready within quoted guest order readiness times.
- Verify the accuracy and presentation of all guest orders before delivery to guests to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.
- Strong cash handling skills to accurately process cash, credit card and gift card transactions and balance of register at end of shift.
- Assist in maintaining a clean workplace; keep Front of House (FOH) clean and stocked, including restrooms. Restock products during periods of downtime or as directed.
- Practice safe food handling procedures by following all safety and sanitation guidelines; promote safety in the workplace.
- Maintain a professional and presentable appearance according to the company's Uniform Standards.
- Receive and handle complaints from guests and guide the manager on duty if a problem requires escalation.
- Leave guests with a long‑lasting and positive impression of their WINGSTOP experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to build relationships.
- Cashier and restaurant experience a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast‑paced environment.
