Job Description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Bag groceries at checkout for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.

Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.

Offer to help customers load bags into their car.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.

Return merchandise to store shelves, gather and return bascarts, and clean spills, trash inside store and parking lot.

Clean all areas inside and outside of store, handle seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.

Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or accidents.

Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.

Inspect equipment, notify management of repairs needed.

Create a welcoming environment, assist customers with questions about products.

Follow all laws and company policies, work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflict calmly, act with honesty and integrity, and seek assistance when needed.

Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Customer Service skills
Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

Retail experience preferred but not necessary
