Valle Vista Health System is a 132-bed acute care psychiatric hospital located in Greenwood, IN. The hospital offers inpatient acute care and a variety of outpatient services. Over 10,000 patients receive care each year. Valle Vista Health System supports local nursing students and other behavioral health professionals.

This part-time Dietitian plans modified diets as requested by the attending physician or licensed practitioner, provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed, and counsels patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation and nutritional principles. The Dietitian also assists the Dietary Manager with menu revisions and dietary policy and procedure revisions.

• Consult with patients and family members concerning dietary needs and goals.
• Plan for modified diets for patients as requested by provider.
• Perform nutritional assessments.
• Provide guidance to Food Services staff.
• Approve all menus and make food service provision relevant to dietary requirements.

• Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in nutritional studies required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Registered Dietician in Indiana.
• One year experience in a health care setting completing nutritional assessments preferred.
