SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
Fridays & Saturdays (11-20 hours per pay period); hours/shift times are flexible
8:30AM-4:30PM, including every other weekend (20-25 hours/week)

Your Responsibilities:1. Activity Planning and Implementation:
Assist the Coordinator with planning Friday and Saturday activities on the monthly Activity Calendar. Responsible for attending and executing on‑campus activities and off‑campus outings for the independent living community. Activities encompass the Eight Dimensions of Wellness which include but are not limited to physical/wellness activities, special events, religious activities, field trips, emotional and cognitive activities, etc.
2. Communications and Reporting:
Point of contact for residents for activities‑related questions and information. Assists with department communications such as the Village Voice, monthly activities calendar, event flyers, etc.
3. Inter‑Departmental
Collaboration:
Works collaboratively with internal GVS departments to ensure activities have the support needed to run smoothly. This includes catering requests, room set‑up, transportation, equipment set up, etc.
4. Resident Relationship Building:
Builds relationships with residents and encourages participation in independent living activities. Participates in new resident meetings to understand their needs and requests from the community.
5. Technology:
Works closely with GVS IT department to ensure technology is working appropriately for all on‑campus activities.
6. Additional Administrative Tasks as assigned by the Community Life Services Director or Community Life Services Coordinator.

- High School diploma or GED required.
- One year experience in a recreational program in a licensed health care setting preferred.
