Join to apply for the Dialysis Patient Care Technician role at U.S. Renal Care
Responsibilities- Patient care. You will work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Responsibilities include gathering patient stats before and after treatment, initiating treatment, monitoring patients during treatment, terminating treatment, and collecting patient blood samples per physician orders.
- Technician Duties. You will ensure quality comes first by preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control, ensuring all protocols and regulations are followed.
- Safety and Quality. You will use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment. Working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, you will adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations, participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
- Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
- Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
- Successful completion of USRC training Parker program approved byorpus by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency; this includes successful completion of USRC training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.

- Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or a nationally commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter. Specific state requirements may be applicable and required.
