Laser Engraving CNC Programmer-Operator

When you arrive for 1st shift in our temperature-controlled Greenwood facility, you’ll start by reviewing engineering prints and clarifying any open questions with our Engineering team. You’ll translate specs into efficient laser engraving programs, load and verify the correct electronic files, and set up the laser etching system to mark metal components. After dialing in parameters, you’ll run first-article trials, verify results using calipers, micrometers, squares, and height gauges, then release the job to production with confidence.
Throughout the day, you’ll maintain and manage all programming files, document your work in line with instructions, and perform in-process quality checks. You’ll take pride in clean, legible markings and consistent results—every time.
- Create precise and efficient laser engraving/etching programs for metal parts.
- Maintain and manage all electronic programming files for laser equipment.
- Partner closely with Engineering to resolve ambiguities and confirm the latest requirements.
- Set up and operate laser engraving equipment per prints and work instructions.
- Use calipers, micrometers, squares, and height gauges to perform quality checks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to follow instructions delivered in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Strong math skills for units of measure, fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic computer skills proficiency.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced setting.
