Valle Vista Health System is a 132‑bed acute‑care psychiatric hospital located in Greenwood, IN. The facility offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, more than 10,000 patients receive care each year.

The program provides newly licensed nurses with education and mentorship to develop patient safety skills in a behavioral health setting. It covers core competencies in psychiatric mental health nursing and has been shown to improve competence, satisfaction and retention.

• Nursing assessment
• Nursing documentation
• Treatment planning – monitor and document progress on treatment goals
• Ensure implementation and documentation of individual treatment plans
• Medication administration / medical management
• Milieu management / communication
• Crisis intervention
• Staff and patient education

• Associate's degree from an accredited School of Nursing; bachelor's degree preferred
• Current license to practice nursing in Indiana (or eligible to receive/renew)
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., 3 12‑hour shifts per week
