Overview
A.L. Adams Construction Company, LLC is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Construction Operations to guide our growing company into its next phase. This leadership role drives operational efficiency, supports project delivery, and enhances team performance. We’re looking for a proven construction professional with hands-on field experience, strong operational insight, and a passion for developing teams and refining processes in a collaborative, high-performing culture.
The Director of Construction Operations oversees day-to-day construction operations to ensure effective planning, execution, and delivery. We seek a results-oriented leader with strong construction management experience, a collaborative approach, and a focus on operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful delivery
- Supervise and support project managers, superintendents, and field teams across multiple job sites to promote collaboration and high performance
- Develop, implement, and maintain construction schedules, budgets, and quality standards to meet or exceed project goals
- Work closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to foster strong partnerships and effective communication
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies to maintain a safe and secure work environment
- Proactively identify and resolve project challenges, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Oversee procurement processes and manage vendor relationships to support project needs and cost efficiency
- Provide regular reports on project progress, performance metrics, and KPIs to executive leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Over 10 years of experience in commercial construction, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale construction projects and diverse teams
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, industry regulations, and best practices
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with a collaborative approach
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, CMiC, MS Project, and Bluebeam
