OverviewAt Globe Communications, LLC, as an Equipment Operator on our Telecom Construction team, you will use and take care of special machines for installing phone and internet infrastructure, ensuring everything works correctly and remains safe while you work.

- Safely operate and control assigned equipment
- Dig pits, trenches, or potholes as directed by job plan
- Responsible for the site set‑up and clean‑up
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment from truck
- Set up a safety perimeter
- Perform work in all weather conditions
- Other duties as assigned
- Drive and/or operate diesel or gasoline powered equipment to/from/on jobsite (Backhoe, Trencher, Directional Bore, Digger Derrick, Pole/Bucket Truck) associated with installation and repair of underground/aerial utilities
- Perform clearing, grading, excavations and all other equipment functions of construction sites
- Property or worksite restoration as needed associated with installation and repair of underground/aerial utilities
- Perform general construction work under direction of Foreman or Supervisor (using hand tools, lifting materials up to 50 lbs)
- Follow directions, produce quality work, and maintain safe working habits/conditions according to Federal, State, and Company regulations
- 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Valid State driver's license (not provisional) with an acceptable driving record
- Minimum 1‑3 years experience within the Utility Construction/Maintenance industry (preferred)
- Experience with drill set up and design processes (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment safely
- Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools safely
- Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify underground utilities
- Experience with installation/repair/maintenance of underground utilities (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees
- Capability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs with or without assistance
- Willingness to work overtime, after hours, weekends, emergencies, or on‑call as needed
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Capable of working in all weather conditions
- CDL preferred; truck/vehicle operation experience desired
- Routinely work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, perform fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift greater than 55 lbs
- Occasionally work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard, and mouse
