Milling Foreman

Position Summary

The Milling Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily milling operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. This role requires hands-on leadership in overseeing crews, managing equipment, and maintaining quality standards on roadway and site preparation projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise and direct milling crew members during daily operations.

* * Coordinate job schedules, manpower, and equipment requirements with project managers and superintendents.

* * Operate and oversee milling machines, loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment as needed.

* * Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

* * Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce jobsite safety standards.

* * Monitor quality of milling operations, ensuring depth, grade, and slope specifications are met.

* * Perform inspections and routine maintenance checks on milling equipment.

* * Communicate effectively with truck drivers, pavers, and other crews to ensure smooth workflow.

* * Complete daily reports on production, crew performance, and equipment usage.

* Train and mentor crew members to build skills and efficiency.
