Job Description

Are you looking to build a long-term career with an established and growing engineering and design organization? This is a unique opportunity for a Project Architect to join a collaborative architectural team supporting complex industrial and technology-driven facility projects across the United States.

In this role, you will contribute to the planning, design, and execution of projects involving manufacturing facilities, semiconductor plants, laboratories, clean rooms, and other advanced industrial environments. You'll work alongside experienced architects and engineers while gaining exposure to all phases of project delivery, from concept development through construction support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the work of the architectural discipline team across assigned projects.
  • Own discipline scope, schedule, and budget, and report status and variances to the Project Manager.
  • Function as discipline team leader on projects as assigned by the Practice Leader.
  • Direct building system concepts and the documentation process from schematic design through construction administration.
  • Review and correct documents produced by the discipline team to ensure technical accuracy and quality.
  • Prepare and monitor project status reports, including schedule and budget tracking for the discipline.
  • Prepare and document required code research for projects.
  • Conduct or direct material and product research as required for project development.
  • Attend and, where appropriate, lead project meetings.
  • Interface with other discipline team leaders to coordinate design and resolve conflicts between disciplines.
  • Review document interpretation and submittals during bidding and construction administration.
  • Monitor and direct staff to produce quality architectural and engineering services within a project team concept.
  • Mentor and develop architectural staff and interns, including technical skills and licensure progress.
  • Assign and delegate work across the discipline team based on staff capability and project need.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture required. Licensure highly preferred; if not licensed, must be obtainable in the near future.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in the architecture industry, including demonstrated experience leading or directing the work of other architects or designers.
  • Strong computer skills, including Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling.
  • Ability to manage discipline scope, schedule, and budget across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from schematic design through project close out, including design and technical expertise.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and mentor staff and delegate work assignments effectively.
  • Very detail oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Long-term career stability with a growing and diversified project portfolio
  • ESOP ownership opportunity
  • Exposure to cutting-edge industrial and advanced technology facilities
  • Flexible scheduling and hybrid work options
  • Collaborative, team-oriented culture
  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced industry professionals and progress into greater leadership responsibilities
  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
