Maintenance Technician - 2nd and 3rd shift
In the Maintenance Technician – Injection & Blow Molding role, you will be responsible for performing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on all plastic injection and blow molding machines. Support process improvement and equipment reliability initiatives to achieve goals for safety, quality, and production efficiency. Develop and document maintenance procedures to optimize equipment performance. This role will be cross‑trained in both Injection Molding and Blow Molding equipment.
In addition, you will assist the Chief Engineer and Management team with other projects as assigned.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Adhere to all instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices, and housekeeping procedures.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all Injection Molding and Blow Molding machines, as well as associated support equipment.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
- Provide innovative and creative solutions to equipment and production problems.
- Assist with equipment start‑up, shut‑down, and changeover procedures per company and machine requirements.
- Support cross‑training of Process Technicians and other team members on routine maintenance tasks, including:
- Mold changes and cleaning
- Machine start‑up/shut‑down
- Conveyor operation and maintenance
- Dryer filter changes and maintenance
- Chiller system maintenance
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, identify problems, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Proficient in English (read, write, communicate).
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Machine shop skills and basic hydraulic knowledge.
- Experience with machine installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Must be able to operate material handling equipment.
- Committed to the success of the entire organization.
- Understand and comply with OSHA safety rules/regulations and Lock‑out/Tag‑out requirements.
- Must be able to obtain forklift certification within 60 days.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with maintenance and repair of Injection Molding and Blow Molding machines.
- Experience with Husky or similar equipment desired.
- Technical School or vocational training in Injection/Blow Molding or Industrial Maintenance preferred.
