Qualified trainees can start with mentor training and move into a high-mileage reefer operation averaging $1,300-$1,500 weekly after training.

TRAINING

Paid mentor training runs approximately 3-5 weeks and 200-250 behind-the-wheel hours. Trainee pay is $850 per week. Orientation is no more than two days, with $300 paid upon hire.

THE JOB

OTR refrigerated freight with home time approximately every two weeks. Drivers need flexibility for day/night driving, weekends and holidays. Freight does not require driver unloading.

EQUIPMENT

• Mainly Freightliner tractors
• Automatic and 10-speed manual transmissions
• Average tractor age approximately 1.5 years
• Permanently assigned truck - no slip seating

REQUIREMENTS

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 120 hours from an accredited truck driving school
• Trainees with less than 6 months recent CDL-A experience welcome
• Solid employment history without major unemployment gaps
• Acceptable MVR and driving record
• Pass a DOT-compliant pre-employment drug test
• Meet applicable driver qualification and hiring requirements
