Transport Driver Brushy Creek Post Acute – Greer, SC $17-18/hr | Part-time

About Us Brushy Creek Post Acute is a beautiful 144-bed skilled nursing facility located next to the hospital in Greer, South Carolina. Our unique campus features 12 cottage-style homes (12 residents each), each with its own kitchen, as well as gardens and outdoor spaces for residents and staff to enjoy. Your day to day as a transportation driver:
  • Assists residents with loading and unloading from facility approved vehicles.
  • Ensures the safe transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities, resident outings, etc.
  • Assist with setting up resident transport appointments - making calls to facilitate the scheduling of resident appointments
  • Communicating with resident's and their families about transport and appointment needs.
  • Maintains the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safe and comfortable transport for the residents and to project a positive image in the community
  • Monitors vehicle maintenance logs and delivers vehicle for regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned
An ideal transportation driver:
  • Must be 25 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid DL and be familiar with GPS and local driving area.
  • Pass a drug screen and background check successfully, including driving record CPR and First Aide Certified
  • Be flexible with work time (in the event a resident appointment or activity runs late)
  • Must have training and be able to demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for:
  • Ingress/Egress of Mobile Patients with Van, Transfer of patients into and out of Wheelchair, Properly securing WC bound residents into bays in Vans
  • Must be able to lift, transfer and mobilize patient weights of up to 75 pounds by self in confined areas inside Van.
  • Must be able to make complex decisions involving highly dependent patient base.
