Job Summary
A Warehouse Associate is certified to operate forklift equipment and able to perform multiple warehouse‑related functions including but not limited to: receiving product, picking orders, conducting inventory cycle counts, preparing product for shipment and other various material handling tasks. This position requires a high‑level attention to detail to yield safe and accurate results.
Duties and Responsibilities - Essential Functions- Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
- Ability to read and follow procedures as per provided training.
- Receive product for return or delivery and verify its contents.
- Count and stock product based on inventory control log.
- Identify damaged, lost or missing product and notify a member of management immediately.
- Pick or pack orders in an orderly, sequential manner and close cartons so they are prepared for shipping.
- Treat product with care and concern at all times.
- Scan all containers to determine appropriate contents, as well as end destination.
- Operate power equipment in a responsible and safe manner at all times, as per company guidelines and regulated requirements.
- Appropriate computer usage, including: setting up orders, booking freight, quarantine freight, new labeling, inventory control.
- Complete other duties as assigned by Manager or Team Lead.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Six (6) months of warehouse experience.
- Warehouse scanning device knowledge.
- Unexpired Forklift Certification.
- Six (6) months of sit‑down forklift experience within the last 12 months.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) and/or Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) skills.
- A combination of acquired education and equivalent experience may be considered.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
- Ability to walk throughout the square footage of the warehouse environment and stand and/or work on feet during the assigned shift hours.
- Ability to bend safely, lift and carry objects and/or product weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to hear power equipment alarm signals.
General work area is in a warehouse environment, mostly indoors with some outdoor exposure. Facility is non‑temperature‑controlled space.
