Staff Pharmacist – Full Time

Join CVS Health as a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) and help transform health care for patients and colleagues.

As a DSP, you play a critical role in delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating genuine, authentic care for patients. You will work within the district to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader.

• Live our purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts and oversee the pharmacy as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures and direct the pharmacy team to maintain safety guardrails at every workstation.
• Assume day‑to‑day duties of the Pharmacy Manager when serving as the primary pharmacist‑on‑duty.
• Co‑optimize positive patient experiences by showing empathy, coaching the pharmacy team, resolving insurance and medication issues, and delivering immunizations.
• Support inventory management, protecting cold‑chain products and following all best practices.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic.
• Maintain clinical and technical skills through required trainings, CMEs, and continuous learning.
• Provide pharmacist‑delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permitted.
• Comply with federal and state laws, CVS policies, controlled‑substance dispensing, and workplace safety and inclusion.

• Active Pharmacist license in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
• Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.

• 1‑2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.

Pay Range: $60.00 ‑ $73.00 per hour or base annual salary. Eligible for bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive program.
