Machine Technician - 2nd Shift - Heat Treat - Grenada

We are seeking a Machine Technician 1 to manufacture products by operating and maintaining equipment and processes that provide optimum customer service. This entry‑level position enhances the department’s safety, quality and productivity, and assists the Facilitator as required.

• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area.
• Maintain housekeeping in accordance with policies and schedules.
• Use all gauges in the cell and understand tolerances to stay in spec.
• Apply quality tools such as SPC and OEE within the cell.
• Operate a minimum of one machine efficiently (85% or better).
• Perform setups and changeovers following procedures in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot equipment, automated operations, controls, and sensors.
• Assist maintenance with preventative maintenance responsibilities and schedule updates.
• Complete routine equipment and product inspections and document results.
• Perform minor equipment repairs and provide feedback to Maintenance and Supervisor.
• Notify supervisor or Department Manager of processes or equipment needing attention.
• Recommend and participate in continuous‑improvement projects focused on processes, productivity and quality.
• Complete other duties as assigned, including work on other shifts when necessary.
• Adhere to 5S in the department.

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical data, drawings and OMS.
• Proficiency with common inspection and test equipment.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.

• High School or GED diploma.
• Technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation preferred.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, or a technical field at MT or a similar employer.
