Overview

The Foreman is responsible for the management of the onsite crew(s) on a project. The Foreman will lead the crew by creating a daily and weekly plan alongside the Superintendent and communicate the daily requirements to the crew. The Foreman is to ensure that all the crew members are properly trained for top performance. The Foreman also works alongside the crew and assists to assure that C3S Concrete Services provides a quality product to the owner.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees all concrete activities pertaining to layout, preparation, placement, installation, finishing, saw cutting, and curing.
  • Read blueprints, RFI’s and sketches and follow verbal communication and direction.
  • Communicate with the Superintendent to fully understand the path to the end result.
  • Review and understand the contracted scope of work. Identify any changes and confirm with PM/Superintendent before performing work. Complete FWO’s as directed.
  • Organize crews and ensure they perform work safely and to quality standards.
  • Orient and train new team members and appropriately assign them duties.
  • Communicate the weekly plan to the crew and on a daily basis to ensure each crew member has a clear understanding of their responsibilities for the day.
  • Provide clear direction to team members as assigned and that work proceeds efficiently to avoid mistakes or rework.
  • Effectively manage team members to provide high efficiency and production in a safe manner.
  • Ensure the crew has all the necessary tools and equipment to complete the required tasks.
  • Coordinate and manage materials to assure efficient procurement, delivery and implementation.
  • Complete daily reports on a daily basis. Accurately track time and material quantities.
  • Document daily progress with multiple photos.
  • Verify team members arrive for and leave work on time each day;
    Manage break and lunch time durations.
  • Ensure Site Safety and OSHA standards are adhered to. Provide training as needed.
  • Complete incident reports and take photos as necessary.
  • Utilize the power of teamwork to create efficiency and quality throughout the project.
  • Promote a learning and teaching environment amongst the crew.
