Annual Salary Range: $30,258 - $59,927 (Based on 192/193 Day Contract). Initial placement on the salary schedule is based on education and contracted licensed experience.
As a licensed employee, you are eligible to receive a specialty stipend of $1,145 if certified Multilingual in Spanish, Arabic, Ukrainian, or Russian. Must pass a standardized proficiency test of language.

- Teaches reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, art, music, physical education, and health education using district-approved curricula and objectives.
- Instructs students in citizenship, basic communication skills, literacy, numeracy, and other elements of the course of study as defined by state law and regulations, district policy, and school procedures.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to provide individualized and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to each student’s needs.
- Leads students through the development of a work sample and evaluates that work sample.
- Supervises and administers the Oregon Statewide Assessments, including preparation, logistics, and security in line with district policies.
- Monitors student activities to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
- Plans and coordinates the work of educational assistants or other paraprofessionals in the classroom.
- Evaluates academic and social growth of students and maintains appropriate records and reports.
- Develops and uses multimedia instructional materials for various learning modalities and a wide range of student abilities.
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to enable a functional learning environment both in and out of the classroom.
- Participates in evaluation of materials, equipment, and textbooks and creates an engaging classroom environment with displays and centers.
- Communicates with parents through various means and holds parent conferences to discuss student progress and school programs.
- Participates in regular in-service and curriculum/development programs at school and district levels.
- Maintains professional competence and meets state standards for competent and ethical performance.
- Presents a positive teacher image to the community and reinforces the district philosophies.
- Collaborates with staff to address student health, attitude, and learning problems; participates in faculty committees and meetings.
- Plans with and supervises student teachers; evaluates student teachers in the classroom.
- Plans and selects books, instructional aids, and supplies; maintains accurate records as required by law and district policy.
- Participates in various meetings to receive and provide information; may have duties added, deleted, or changed at district discretion.
- Supports sponsorship of student activities and participation in professional organizations.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students and to relate to diverse student needs.

Required:- Ability to plan, develop, and implement curriculum; effective communication with students, parents, and school personnel.
- Knowledge of instructional theory and best practices, curriculum, and applicable regulations and policies.
- Physical requirements include standing/walking for prolonged periods, maintaining records, and ability to interact with students; include lifting, carrying, reaching, and visual/hearing capabilities as appropriate.
Contract:
110 Contract days;
Temporary Contract for the school year; 1.00 FTE.
