Overview
The Gresham-Barlow District is seeking interest for the FLEX Twilight Scholars Credit Recovery Program after school teacher position.
Dates of Sessions: Full session Noveme 10, 2025 - March 6, 2026
Compensation: Hourly for up to 50 hours per session
Approximate Student Contact Time: 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Planning time per Session: 10 hours. Plus additional professional development commitments. Professional development and coaching will be provided.
Essential Job Functions- Manage a caseload of up to 25 students
- Communicate with students and parents about progress toward assignment completion and credit recovery
- Design and deliver proficiency-based instruction*
- Commit to setting up instruction that that students can complete coursework as they demonstrate proficiencies
- Commit to teaching one afternoon/evening per week for 15 weeks
- Convene small groups of students for targeted instruction and to complete assignments
- Commit to offering possible secondary courses to allow students to earn another needed credit if they complete their initial course with enough time
- Coordinate with support staff and coordinators for individualized support plans
- Participate in professional learning and implement agreed upon practices
Job Requirements - Qualifications
- State of Oregon Teaching License with core content area endorsements required:
Math or Language Arts. Other content areas will be considered as resources allow - Strong at building relationships with students and families across diverse populations
- Ability to engage in proficiency-based learning
- Bilingual
