Teacher – Middle School, Math (Temporary)
Clear Creek Middle School is seeking a temporary math teacher for the school year. The position is for 80 contract days (1.00 FTE) with an open Final date to receive applications.
Job SummaryThe teacher will develop students’ academic skills through approved curriculum, document teaching and student progress, address specific educational needs, and provide a safe learning environment.
CompensationSalary and stipends are prorated based on FTE and start/end dates.
- Annual salary range $22,005 – $43,583 (based on 192/193 day contract); initial placement based on education and contracted licensed experience.
- Specialty stipend of $833 for qualified certified multilingual teachers in Spanish, Arabic, Ukrainian, or Russian (must pass proficiency test).
- State of Oregon teaching license with Basic, Foundational, or Advanced Math PK‑12 endorsement.
- Current first aid card.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Teaching credential for appropriate level/subjects and Highly Qualified status.
- Criminal justice fingerprint clearance.
- CPR and First Aid certificates.
- Help each pupil develop competence in subject matter skills; motivate them to apply understanding and skills in problem solving.
- Teach courses using a curriculum adopted by the Board of Education and appropriate publications.
- Instruct pupils in citizenship, basic communication skills, and other elements common to all teachers as required by state law.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional aids.
- Demonstrate concepts using models, chalkboard, projector, and other aids.
- Provide individualized and small‑group instruction as needed.
- Design learning activities that relate subject area to the physical world.
- Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior.
- Evaluate pupils’ progress and prepare progress reports; may prepare letters of recommendation.
- Perform basic attendance accounting and business services as required.
- Coordinate the work of aides, teacher assistants, or paraprofessionals.
- Communicate with parents and counselors about pupil progress.
- Identify pupil needs and collaborate with staff to address health, attitude, and learning problems.
- Supervise pupils in out‑of‑classroom activities.
- Maintain professional competence through district in‑service education and self‑selected growth activities.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
- Assist other personnel as required.
- Participate in meetings such as parent conferences, in‑service training, and site meetings.
- Select and requisition books, instructional aids, and supplies; maintain inventory records.
- Participate in curriculum and development programs at school or district level; may teach on modular or flexible schedules.
- Share in sponsorship of student activities and participate in faculty committees.

Required:- Motivate students and communicate with diverse individuals.
- Knowledge of age‑appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education code.
- Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods, lift/carry, maintain records, and establish cooperative relationships.
- Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree.
