Senior Vice President - Head of the PNW – Heavy Civil Market Specialist
Location: Gresham, OR
Salary: $225,000 – $325,000 per year (plus stock options, bonuses, etc.)
A nationally recognized general contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure is seeking a seasoned Project Executive to support ongoing growth and lead major initiatives in the Gresham, OR area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a senior leadership position, overseeing complex civil projects while developing teams and strengthening long-term industry relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Provide executive oversight on large‑scale water/wastewater infrastructure projects from early planning through completion.
- Guide and support project teams to achieve safety, quality, schedule, and financial objectives.
- Maintain strong working relationships with owners, partners, municipalities, and engineering firms.
- Lead strategic planning efforts, project risk assessments, and resource allocations.
- Support pursuit strategies, proposal development, and presentations for upcoming work.
- Coach and mentor project managers, engineers, and field leadership.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, specifically in water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, or related infrastructure.
- Proven background leading large, complex construction projects typically ranging from $20M to $100M+.
- Experience managing multiple teams or project portfolios simultaneously.
- Strong communication, client interaction, and negotiation skills.
- Deep understanding of project financials, forecasting, and risk management.
- Familiarity working with public agencies, utilities, and engineering partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and construction contracts.
- Proficiency with industry project management platforms and tools.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a collaborative approach to problem‑solving.
- Ability to travel within the region as needed.
