Empowered Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team.

In this role, you will build meaningful relationships that inspire confidence, promote independence, and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living fulfilling, joyful lives.

As a DSP, you will work one-on-one with each customer to understand their unique needs, support them in achieving their goals, and provide care in a positive, encouraging, and safe environment. Our DSPs serve not only as caregivers but also as mentors, advocates, and trusted companions for the individuals we support.

392:
We are looking for a Direct Support Professional to work with an intelligent, environmentally focused adult. He is independent, generous, and deeply committed to protecting the planet. He enjoys environmental conservation, primitive skills such as bow making and plant identification, knot tying, volunteering for causes related to democracy, listening to brain and behavior podcasts, and watching movies with intrigue. He is kind and has a sharp wit, but he also requires a provider who demonstrates patience, honesty, integrity, and precision with language.

He also needs help organizing and downsizing belongings as he prepares for a move, though he prefers to meet outside the home until strong trust is established. Additional support needs include learning how to develop friendships, improve social skills, and explore dating. He works part time as a landscaper and would benefit from help structuring his days to increase work hours and keep up with rent.

Schedule:

2-3 days weekly. 4 hours per shift.

We are looking for a calm and patient Direct Support Professional who enjoys helping others thrive. The provider will support a very laid‑back adult male who enjoys relaxing at home and getting outside for hikes. He works alongside his brother in pest control, so his schedule can vary from week to week—flexibility is key!

He would do best with someone who is understanding and able to help him stay on track with daily routines like personal hygiene, budgeting, and appointments. He sometimes needs cues to express his wants and needs and may need extra support processing information or navigating stressful situations.

If you’re grounded, compassionate, and can go with the flow, this could be a great match!

Schedule will vary. Currently the hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday and Friday.

We’re looking for a reliable, upbeat Direct Support Provider (DSP) in the Gresham area to support a happy, minimally verbal child with autism who lights up every room with her smile and infectious personality. She loves singing, dancing, Moana, and playing outside, and she thrives when engaged with a playful, interactive caregiver. This family is looking for a provider who is willing to take this customer into the community, take them to church, and someone who is comfortable with animals!

In this role, you’ll assist with daily hygiene, encourage fine motor skills, and join her for community outings and fun activities. Understanding autism and connecting with her unique communication and sensory needs is essential. We’re looking for someone who is playful, patient, dependable, and consistent, and who enjoys making a positive difference in a child’s life.

Schedule:

Saturdays 9 AM to 7 PM, Sundays 7:45 AM–5/6 PM (flexible), occasional Wednesdays.

• Experience with the I/DD community is preferred but not required.
• Must pass a background check. – Not all charges will warrant a disqualification.
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, with a good driving record.
• Must have your own reliable vehicle, with full coverage auto insurance.
• Must be comfortable providing respectful support with personal care, including bathroom and hygiene.

• Starting pay ranges from $23–$25 per hour, depending on a variety of factors, including experience, certifications, and skills.
