Overview

Joining us as a Multi-Unit Team Leader
, you’ll provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. Using your people management experience and passion for helping people, you’ll provide leadership to the customer-centric teams in the offices you manage to accelerate their seasonal tax business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead front-line management and development of associates to deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives for three tax offices.
  • Start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season; transition to full-time from January to April, including evening and weekend hours as needed.
  • Work in-person at multiple offices and travel between offices as required.
  • Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics with support from Associate Team Leaders.
  • Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
  • Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with the Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns.
  • Build an engaging, high-performing team environment across all offices through training and coaching.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
  • Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management.
  • Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Qualifications
  • People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
  • Proven ability to execute growth plans and foster a growth-oriented culture.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
