Structural Welder

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Structural Welder role in Gresham, OR

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of structural steel components in accordance with blueprints, welding symbols, and project specifications.
• Fit, align, and assemble metal parts to precise tolerances using jigs, fixtures, and measuring instruments.
• Inspect completed welds for strength, appearance, and compliance with standards and tolerances.
• Operate and maintain welding and cutting equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance.
• Work from detailed fabrication drawings to ensure accurate dimensions and assembly.
• Follow all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe material handling.
• Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and quality control teams to meet project deadlines and maintain consistent production flow.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified welding program preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in structural steel welding or fabrication.
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
  
  Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 or similar welding codes preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
