Equipment Maintenance Technician – Thin Films D – Night Shift (Gresham)
Onsemi is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician – Thin Films D – Night Shift at its 200mm manufacturing facility in Gresham, Oregon. You will work in a dynamic team environment, performing preventive, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance on a variety of innovative semiconductor manufacturing tools. Each day will challenge you with a diverse set of tools while working with a world‑class team.
ShiftD – 7:00 PM to 7:06 AM, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and (e/o) Saturday.
Job Conditions- Work performed in a clean room environment requiring a smock, hood, booties, latex gloves, and safety glasses.
- May require the use of an APR (air purifying respirator).
- May require additional personal protective equipment, including aprons, heat gloves, and full‑face masks.
- Requires standing up to 75% of the shift.
- Requires lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
- May involve work with hazardous gases, chemicals, and voltages up to 1500 V.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor performance, diagnose root cause, and make reliability improvement recommendations.
- Dismantle, adjust, and repair equipment per maintenance specifications and repair manuals.
- Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges, and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair.
- Develop and document maintenance procedures and specifications.
- Perform scheduled tool qualifications.
- Coordinate with vendors.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to other technicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate or technical degree; or currently pursuing a degree.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Methodical approach to troubleshooting and project management.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated; able to work independently under general guidance.
- Ability to independently learn systems and processes associated with the role.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- 2+ years of prior technician experience with Thin Films equipment – AMAT Endura (PVD/CVD TxZ), AMAT Centura (HDP and DxZ), AMAT Producer (SACVD), Novellus Concept 2 (Speed, Sequel, Altus).
- MS Excel and Word skills are an advantage.
