Job Description

Objective:
Under the direction of the Sr Program Director, the Groups Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the Camp Collins High Adventure Program and serve as the coordinator and host for all rental groups.

Responsibilities
  • Lead program director for all Camp Collins adventure and ropes programs.
  • Lead facilitator, trainer, and equipment manager for all courses, year-round.
  • Serve as lead point of contact, coordinator, and host for all outside rental groups.
  • Support the maintenance department, specifically in housekeeping and landscaping.
  • Serve on summer camp leadership staff, helping with general summer operations and logistics.
  • Train ropes staff, maintain skill levels, and manage all aspects of the program.
  • Manage adventure staff and maintain all adventure courses.
  • Maintain and coordinate all adventure programming safety inspections and certifications.
  • Schedule and coordinate trainings; communicate with outside rental groups.
  • Staff and host all rental groups.
  • Provide year-round support to Maintenance and Food Service Departments.
  • Assist with camp maintenance projects and all summer camp programs.
  • Drive camp vehicles and provide support to the camp administrative staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
  • Mental and physical ability to work well under pressure and perform multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • ACCT Level 2 certification, or ability to obtain.
  • Positive attitude, initiative, flexibility, dependability, and teamwork.
  • Pass YMCA background check.
  • College degree.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications within 30 days of employment.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a similar job setting preferred.
