Provide clinical care and services for hospitalized adult patients. Diagnose and treat patients. Ensure quality, cost‑effective care for hospitalized patients. Maintain strong rapport with hospital, primary‑care physicians, specialists and ancillary providers to affect quality care. Study diagnostic images to aid in making diagnoses. Prescribe medications and recommend dietary and activity programs as indicated. Refer patients to specialists as indicated. Perform various administrative duties.

• MD or DO
• License to practice medicine in Louisiana.
• Completion of an internal medicine residency.
