Responsibilities- Manage planning, documentation, implementation, support, and maintenance of manufacturing processes, procedures, machinery, and tooling to improve efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, quality, and safety.
- Research process performance data to identify and implement process changes that improve yield, runtime, quality, safety, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Manage the activities and resources for manufacturing engineers, process design, and support personnel.
- Provide ongoing support for manufacturing problems and deficiencies; troubleshoot technically challenging production problems.
- Technical/Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, adopting, and achieving objectives.
- Extensive knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques; ability to create and support an environment that meets business quality goals.
- Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside organization.
- Knowledge of evolving the business to remain competitive; ability to understand, adapt, respond, and proactively seek changes and innovation to improve competitive advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work constructively and collaboratively with diverse individuals and groups.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work‑related hazards and perform activities to meet regulatory safety requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of organizational standards, procedures, and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor processes for compliance.
- Extensive knowledge of tools, approaches, and practices for determining production demand and to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory service levels.
- Extensive knowledge of project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects to ensure efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources.
- Demonstrated experience leading or implementing manufacturing process changes that improve efficiency through automation or other process improvements.
- Experience as a leader of leaders.
- Experience at a product‑producing manufacturing facility or organization.
