OverviewTRC is partnered with an innovative manufacturing organization seeking an Engineering Data & D365 Specialist to bridge the gap between engineering design and production. This individual will ensure all product and part information from AutoCAD and Solid Works is accurately entered, maintained, and optimized within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) to support seamless manufacturing operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional who understands how engineering data flows through ERP systems — and who enjoys improving processes to make teams more efficient.
Key Responsibilities- Enter, validate, and maintain part master data, BOMs, and related documentation within D365.
- Translate engineering drawings and models (AutoCAD, Solid Works) into structured, usable ERP data.
- Ensure part information accurately supports manufacturing, purchasing, and inventory processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve data or workflow issues.
- Identify and implement process improvements within D365 (automation, templates, or workflow enhancements).
- Support change management and revision control to ensure accurate product lifecycle tracking.
- Serve as the point of contact for questions related to engineering data integrity and D365 part setup.
- 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD and/or Solid Works (ability to read and interpret drawings required).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Manufacturing or Supply Chain modules).
- Understanding of BOM structures, routings, and product lifecycle data flow.
- High attention to detail and strong data accuracy mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
- Experience with process improvement or D365 workflow configuration a plus.
- Prior roles such as Engineering Technician, CAD Data Coordinator, Master Data Analyst, or ERP Specialist.
- Familiarity with PDM or PLM systems integrating with ERP environments.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
