We are seeking a motivated, professional and skilled individual to serve in the role of theatre technician. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to work independently to fulfill a diverse range of bookings including school concerts, dance recitals and theatre performances.

The successful applicant must have a flexible schedule and available to work late afternoon, evening and weekends and sometimes long hours based on theatre bookings.

• Strong computer skills; able to pick up new and existing programs relate to the job quickly

• Excellent problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Able to work in crowded and loud environments
• Able to prioritize tasks both routine and unexpected
• Able to perform tasks that may be physically demanding that includes but not limited to; climbing and balancing; stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching; lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing; and, prolonged sitting and standing
• Understanding and appreciation of Grasslands Public Schools mission and values

• Understanding of how this role impacts the community

Preferred Education and

Certifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Prior experience working with audio/visual equipment or post-secondary education would be considered an asset but not a requirement.

Successful applicants will be required to submit before start date:

• Current Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)

Original document reported within the last 6 months of hire date; condition of employment
