Reporting to the Mechanical/Quality Services manager, this position is responsible for mechanical inspection reporting to customers, management of materials for all work, and the scheduling of outsourced repairs
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS- Maintain and order all parts and supplies for individual jobs on an as needed basis
- Maintain and order inventory for stock items in the mechanical shop
- Work with the Quality manager to ensure inspection reports are complete and accurate
- Responsible for all quoting of jobs to customers and sales engineers
- Provide updates and reports to the Mechanical/Quality manager regarding problems and issues
- Complete outgoing reports for plain/press roll and suction rolls
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management
- Experience:
5-8 years in a manufacturing environment, preferable in the paper industry - Must have proven supervisory and leadership abilities
- Must be an excellent communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with mechanical and machine repairs is desired
- Experience using SAP MD04 and MD4C for material planning, inventory analysis, and supply/demand monitoring
- Knowledge of procurement principles, purchasing processes, and vendor management practices
- Proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency in Solidworks to create detailed drawings is a plus
