Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool - Part-Time - Nights
Work Shift: Night (United States of America)
Job Summary: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team ensuring patients, families and significant others receive individualized high‑quality, safe care.
Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence‑based practice, analytical/critical thinking.
- Provide relationship‑based patient‑centered care, adapting service delivery for cultural diversity.
- Partner with patients and significant others, set goals and ensure patient goals drive the plan of care.
- Practice current clinical standards, coordinate safe quality patient care, and maintain a respectful, inclusive environment.
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, and fiscal responsibility.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities.
- Complete professional competency assessment, mandatory education and training.
- Mentor and precept other nurses and staff.
- Promote evidence‑based practice and research; participate in data collection and decision‑making.
- Plan for care across the continuum and assist in protocol development.
- Comply with all Well Star Health System policies, standards, and code of conduct.
Minimum Education
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Single State or RN-Compact.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS Instructor.
Minimum 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
Required Minimum Skills- Reading, writing, and speaking English; basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
- Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment and respond to emergencies calmly and respectfully.
- Excellent time management, evidence‑based nursing, and analytical skills.
- Strong critical thinking abilities.
