FAR Inspections, based in Reno, NV, is seeking highly motivated independent contractors to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. No prior mortgage field inspection experience is required; strong time‑management and deadline‑meeting skills are essential.

Mortgage lenders need periodic updates on their properties. The inspection’s purpose is to:

• Verify property occupancy.
• Report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.

Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.

• Complete most inspections in 5–6 minutes.
• Finish inspections within four days of assignment.
• Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
• Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Complete a short form in an app.
• Drive long periods, making numerous stops in assigned territory.

• Computer with internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage appreciated; you pay your own gas).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check with valid driver’s license.

This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of $30-$40 per hour
. Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you may complete 20–500 inspections per month working 2–30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties offer higher rates; higher‑volume counties offer lower rates. No set number of inspections per month—work is consistent month to month.

Earnings grow as you become established, gain more availability, or cover a larger territory. No additional mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
