Minimum Qualifications

This position will be working in the Variety Testing program performing seed lab activities and sometimes field work. This position will report to Dr. Danial Mailhot, Program Director.

  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to remain productively engaged in work activities.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Supporting seed lab activities including inventory, packaging, quality evaluations and ginning of cotton samples (60% of time).
  • Supporting field activities including planting, data collection and harvest (30% of time).
  • Cleaning of workspace and state vehicles (10% of time).
Physical Demands

Driving. Occasionally lift 30-lb bags, sitting, standing, reaching, pulling, bending and walking. Tolerance of outdoor working conditions including sun, heat, humidity, insects, and potentially dust. Indoor exposures include dust and potentially noise.
Includes some exposure to peanut and wheat allergens.
