Rose Cartage Service is a 50 year old family owned trucking company based in Griffith, IN. Our trucks deliver commodities such as salt and sugar throughout the Midwest. Our quality service to our customers and our wonderful employees are what make the difference.
Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced diesel truck & trailer mechanic. Rose Cartage owns Kenworth trucks with Cummins engines and pneumatic trailers. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8-4:30.

- 3 years of mechanical experience in a Diesel Shop with heavy duty truck & trailer fleet
- Experience with DOT compliance requirements for heavy trucks
- Experience with computerized diagnostics
- Ability to weld steel & aluminum preferred
- Must have own basic hand tools and tool box
- Transmission & clutch replacement experience preferred
- Other duties include alignment, brakes, hydraulic systems
- Additional responsibilities as requested by management
- Ability to use good judgement
- Good decision making skills
- Keep area clean
- Keep safe work area
