Administration Assistant - Grimsby

Closing date: 04 August 2026

Provide flexible and efficient clerical administrative support to the Imaging Services within the Specialist Cancer and Support Services Care Group, delivering a high‑quality administration service for patients.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, carers, clinicians and managers, and other staff both internally and externally to the Trust.
  • Communicate clearly, concisely and compassionately.
  • Operate Imaging and Trust Information Systems (RIS, Lorenzo, Web V) to register patients attending the department for examination, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Answer telephone queries promptly and refer them appropriately.
  • Make appointments within the Imaging Information Systems for patient referrals from telephone or face‑to‑face, following Departmental Policies and Divisional directives.
  • Demonstrate proactivity and initiative.
  • Understand and adhere to confidentiality requirements to protect patient care.
  • Perform any other duties consistent with the banding of the post as required.
  • Person Specification Education and Qualifications
    • RSO or equivalent typing and writing skills.
    • Good level of education (GCSE or equivalent).
    • Experience of diary management.
    • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration / Customer Care or equivalent experience.
    Occupational Experience
    • Previous experience working in a reception environment.
    • Experience working within a team.
    • Experience interacting with the general public.
    • Time‑management skills or experience working in a busy/demanding environment.
