Job Specification:
Document Controller
Sector: Data Centre Location: Grimsby — 3 days per week on site (local candidates only)
Grade: Experienced Salary:£40,000 – £42,000 plus £4,000 car allowance
We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join a major data centre project based in Grimsby. This role requires three days per week on site; candidates must be local to the area, as travel and accommodation are not provided.
The successful candidate will manage document control processes throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring information is accurately maintained, tracked, and compliant with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end document control process, ensuring documents are correctly logged, distributed, and version-controlled
- Administer and maintain the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), specifically ACC Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud/ACC) and BIM 360
- Ensure document metadata is accurate, complete, and up to date in line with project requirements
- Produce regular reports on document status, outstanding actions, and KPI performance
- Liaise with project teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely submission and approval of documentation
- Maintain document registers, filing structures, and audit trails in accordance with information governance standards
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring full traceability of documentation
- Coordinate document workflows across multiple teams and disciplines, ensuring deadlines are met
- 5+ years experience in a document control role, ideally within construction, data centre, or major project environments
- Proven experience using ACC Forma/Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM 360 (or similar EDMS platforms)
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Must be local to Grimsby, as travel and accommodation are not provided
