Overview
Vehicle Technician role at Tie Talent for Listers Mercedes Benz Grimsby.
Hours:
8:30am–5:30pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch, and Saturdays 1 in 4, 8am–2pm on a rota basis. Our packages and pay plans are industry-leading and reflect experience and skillset.

Role and responsibilities- Service, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
- Electrical and mechanical repairs including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
- Additional responsibilities may include repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack and control systems.
- Ability to fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
- Understand Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
- Trained to operate additional systems, such as video reporting (e.g., CitNOW).
- Complete service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
- Work closely with other workshop team members to learn and share knowledge.
- We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who have experience as Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic/Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician.
- Open to applicants from independent garages, fast fit centres, car supermarkets or main dealers.
- Hold or be working towards NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- An Electric/Hybrid vehicle qualification is advantageous but not essential; full training provided.
- MOT License beneficial but not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Demonstrate good mechanical and electrical knowledge and a commitment to high standards; training and facilities available to advance your career.
