Our client, is currently seeking a competent Site Supervisor on a contract basis. This role supports the authority's highway and bridge teams in the planning, delivery, and supervision of civil engineering construction and maintenance projects. You will be part of a team delivering the inspection and maintenance programme of infrastructure assets, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, industry standards, and asset management principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the project management and delivery of highway and bridge projects
Ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard
Managing works in accordance with company quality assurance procedures
Maintaining knowledge of appropriate construction methods and specifications
Completing progress photographs and daily diaries
Ensuring work is done according to the latest construction design drawings
Assisting in the delivery and management of highway works
Acting as an NEC3 / 4 Site Supervisor, overseeing quality control and managing defects
Undertaking feasibility studies and site inspections, identifying treatment types and quantifying materials and costs
Administering contracts, monitoring works progress, and reporting defects
Monitoring contractors on site, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards
Performing and evaluating tests to confirm quality requirements and ensuring thorough site inspection for civil/structural works
Travelling around the borough to various locations as needed
Undertaking other duties as may be reasonably expected at this level

Job Requirements:

Experience in site supervision of highway and bridge projects
Strong knowledge of NEC3 / 4 contracts
Understanding of statutory requirements, industry standards, and asset management principles
Ability to ensure high standards of safety and quality
Proficiency in managing quality assurance procedures
Competence in recording progress through photographs and daily diaries
Capability to work with construction design drawings
Strong communication and team-working skills
Willingness to travel around the borough as required
