We are inviting applications for a passionate, reliable and creative individual to join the Club as a Volunteer Media Officer supporting our Women’s First Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in sports media, communications or content creation within a progressive football environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in capturing and delivering engaging content across matchdays, training sessions and community activities, helping to raise the profile of Grimsby Town Women and women’s football more widely.
Job DescriptionAbout The Role
The Volunteer Media Officer will be required to attend midweek training sessions and weekend fixtures, both home and away, amounting to approximately 4-6 hours per week.
Key responsibilities include
Attending home and away fixtures to provide live match coverage, including social media updates
Producing matchday content such as goal clips, photography, short-form video and post-match reports
Creating training-ground content, including player features, behind-the-scenes footage and squad updates
Supporting coverage of community and promotional events involving players and staff
Working closely with coaching staff and the Club’s Communications team to ensure messaging is accurate, timely and aligned with Club values
Assisting with post-match reports, graphics and highlights
Upholding safeguarding, media and Club policies at all times

Essential skills
A strong interest in football and women’s sport
Good written communication skills
Confidence using social media platforms such as X, Instagram and Facebook
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Willingness to travel for away fixtures (transport not always provided)
