Simply Education are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Grimsby who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join their team from May until July.

This is a full-time teaching role covering the summer term, with full responsibility for planning, preparation, and marking. The successful candidate will take on the full class teacher role, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards in the lead-up to the end of the academic year.

About the Role:

Full class teacher responsibility for a Year 2 class.

Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

Complete all planning, preparation, and marking.

Assess pupil progress and provide regular feedback.

Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-year expectations.

Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.

Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.

Excellent classroom management skills.

A proactive and organised approach to planning and marking.

A DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
