We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to support our Resource Specialist Provision (RSP). The role is permanent, 32.5 hours per week, term‑time only.

The academy, opened in September 2025, currently serves 110 pupils (approx. 140 in September 2026, up to 210 by 2028), including 12 children with identified Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The teaching assistant will work closely with the class teacher, the SENDCO and other staff to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum for all learners, including those in the RSP.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of pupils with additional and special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Implement adaptive and personalised teaching strategies to foster skill development and confidence.
  • Support the creation of a trauma‑informed, relational learning environment, building strong, trusting relationships with children.
  • Participate in regular supervision and CPD activities as part of the school’s whole‑school relational approach.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Strong commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting pupils across key stages.
  • Experience working with children with SEND and a desire to extend their learning opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to adapt quickly to new challenges.
  • Relevant teacher aid or teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.

Benefits and support:

  • Competitive salary range (LGAT 7 – £26,948 FTE; actual salary £20,237.95).
  • Full package of ongoing CPD and regular supervision.
  • Opportunity to work within a committed, trauma‑informed school culture that values creative and engaging learning experiences.

All applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, including social media review and references, in line with national safeguarding legislation.
