EYFS Teacher - Preston (Open to ECTs)

Are you a passionate and nurturing Early Years teacher ready to inspire young learners at the very start of their educational journey? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Grimsby.

This is a full-time, long-term position starting in May 2026, and the school is open to applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced practitioners.

The Role

As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping children's early learning experiences, creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

  • Location: Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire
  • Start Date: May 2026

  • Contract: Full-time, long-term
  • Pay: Competitive daily rates (with potential for pay to scale)
Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering creative, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Supporting children's development across all areas of learning, including communication, social skills, and early literacy/numeracy.
  • Creating a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
  • Observing, assessing, and tracking pupil progress in line with EYFS expectations.
  • Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Contributing to the wider school community and EYFS provision.
Requirements
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Demonstrate a nurturing and child-centred approach to teaching.
  • Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Be committed, enthusiastic, and reflective in your practice.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
  • Provide professional references and have the legal right to work in the UK.
