Position: Teacher / SENDCO

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher/SENDCO to join our welcoming and inclusive academy in Grimsby from Autumn Term 2026
.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced class teacher with a passion for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our pupils.

About the Role
  • Lead the day‑to‑day operation of the academy's SEND policy.
  • Manage and coordinate provision for pupils with a range of additional needs.
  • Work closely with staff, parents, external agencies, and senior leaders to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.
  • Monitor and evaluate SEND provision, ensuring high standards of inclusion and achievement.
  • Fulfil the responsibilities of a classroom teacher as outlined in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD).
  • Promote an inclusive learning environment where every child can achieve their full potential.

  • Is an experienced and outstanding classroom practitioner.
  • Has a genuine passion and strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive education.
  • Possesses excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Is committed to improving outcomes for children with additional needs.
  • Works collaboratively and builds positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
  • Is eager to progress their teaching career into leadership and SENDCO responsibilities.
