We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Safeguarding Officer who can work in a fast pace environment.

Humberston Academy places its students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning and increased student attainment, achievement, and social and emotional development.

As Safeguarding Officer, you would work as part of the central pastoral team supporting the effective operation of safeguarding on a day-to-day basis, and to also meet with staff, students and parents to overcome barriers to learning. Our safeguarding team go above and beyond to support students school learning. This has led to Humberston Academy achieving an ‘Outstanding’ status.

Therefore, the successful candidate must be a good communicator, approachable, strong IT skills and have a positive attitude towards staff and students.

Humberston Academy is an oversubscribed ‘outstanding’ academy located in an affluent area of North East Lincolnshire. With Ofsted recognising the outstanding practice in place for Behaviour and Attitudes, Safeguarding and Personal Development, our students are in safe hands with regards to expert support. Humberston Academy achieved ‘World Class Schools’ status in December 2019 and re‑accredited in 2022. Humberston Academy continues to deliver incredible opportunities to young people with a specific focus on STEM enrichment and favourable links to the apprenticeships industry as well as traditional route towards higher education.
