Design & Technology Technician
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Design & Technology Technician to support the delivery of a high-quality, practical curriculum. This role involves preparing, maintaining and managing a range of workshop machinery and equipment across specialist areas such as wood, metal and/or plastics. You will play a key part in ensuring that resources are ready for lessons, supporting teaching staff and students during practical activities and maintaining a safe, organised, and fully compliant workshop environment.

- Ensure resources are ready for lessons and support teaching staff and students during practical activities.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and fully compliant workshop environment.
- Perform routine maintenance of machinery, manage stock control, and contribute to the ongoing development of the department’s facilities.
- Strong practical skills and experience with workshop machinery, preferably from industry.
- Solid understanding of health and safety requirements in a workshop environment.
- Ability to support others in the safe use of equipment.
- Organisation, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Approachable, adaptable and enthusiastic about supporting young people in developing design and technology skills.
- Previous educational setting experience desirable but not essential.
