We are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Grimsby for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September on an ongoing basis.

Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and other support staff to help pupils with a range of additional needs reach their full potential. Every day is different, and you'll play a vital role in creating a positive, safe and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with additional needs under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Assist with implementing individualized learning plans and behavior strategies.
  • Support a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and communicate with teachers and carers as appropriate.
  • Support the preparation of classroom materials and activities.
Requirements / What We're Looking For
  • A caring, patient and positive attitude.
  • Experience working with children or vulnerable adults is desirable.
  • Candidates from education, healthcare, care, support work or similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
