Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Locations: Grimsby Cleethorpes, Buckingham

Contract: Full-Time, Part-Time & Flexible Opportunities Available

Salary: £110–£130 per day (dependent on experience)

Smile Education is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support welcoming primary schools across our partner locations.

As a Primary HLTA, you will:

• Deliver high-quality learning activities across the primary curriculum.
• Lead whole-class teaching in the teacher's absence.
• Support pupils in achieving their full potential through engaging and inclusive learning.
• Work closely with teachers to plan, deliver and assess lessons.
• Provide targeted interventions and support for individuals and small groups.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain an effective learning environment.
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.

To be considered, you should have:

• HLTA status or relevant experience working at HLTA level.
• A minimum of 6 months' UK primary classroom experience.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive, flexible and positive attitude.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

• Have at least 6 months' UK primary classroom experience.
• Be able to provide two years of professional references.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  , or be willing to obtain one through Smile Education.
• Have the Right to Work in the UK (
