We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher/SENDCO to join our welcoming and inclusive academy in Grimsby from Autumn Term 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced class teacher with a passion for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our pupils.
About the Role As our Teacher/SENDCO, you will:- Lead the day-to-day operation of the academy's SEND policy.
- Manage and coordinate provision for pupils with a range of additional needs.
- Work closely with staff, parents, external agencies, and senior leaders to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.
- Monitor and evaluate SEND provision, ensuring high standards of inclusion and achievement.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of a classroom teacher as outlined in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD).
- Promote an inclusive learning environment where every child can achieve their full potential.
- Is an experienced and outstanding classroom practitioner.
- Has a genuine passion and strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive education.
- Possesses excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Is committed to improving outcomes for children with additional needs.
- Works collaboratively and builds positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
- Is eager to progress their teaching career into leadership and SENDCO responsibilities.
- Salary on the MPS/UPS scale plus SEN TLR.
